Moving Cards

We Moved!  And honestly, it has been one of the worst experiences ever.  Now before you go telling people how negative, ungrateful, etc. I am, let me just say that this was not an ordinary move.  Murphy’s Law had taken up residence in our new house long before we moved in.  If it could go wrong, it did.  But this post isn’t about what a nightmare the process has been, it’s about how things are actually beginning to come together!  Yay!  I finally got around to sending out our moving cards yesterday, and I think they are precious.  Before we even closed on the house I painted a whimsical watercolor just for my own enjoyment.  I decided that I wanted to do a postcard.  I love postcards.  I think they are so nostalgic and I would love to see them make a comeback as real correspondence pieces, not just reminders that you are due for a dentist appointment.  Besides, the postage is cheaper.  Anyway, I put the picture on the front of the card amidst a background of pretty stripes and wrote our new address on the back.  Simple and to the point (and pretty enough to hang around).

I would love to do more of these (without the moving part).  If you have moved or know someone who has (what a wonderful gift), let me know!
